Parking

1. Does the H.C. Coombs Centre have on-site parking?
The Coombs Centre offers limited undercover parking, which is free of charge and operates on a first-in, first-served basis. Car spaces cannot be reserved.

2. Is there alternative parking close to the H.C. Coombs Centre?
Time restricted street parking is available in the vicinity of the Coombs Centre. Alternatively, a parking station (with 389 spaces) is located a 10 minute walk from the Centre at Luna Park Milsons Point, 1 Olympic Drive, Milsons Point (entry and exit is via Paul Street).

3. Are there alternative means of transport to the H.C. Coombs Centre?
Due to limited undercover parking, public transport is advisable. The Coombs Centre is located a 10–15 minute walk from Milsons Point train station or a 5 minute walk from Kirribilli Wharf (please refer to Local area map and Neutral Bay Ferry Timetable). Sydney buses also operate regular services to Kirribilli from the Sydney CBD and North Sydney.

1. Is the Coombs Centre available for Bed and Breakfast bookings?
Accommodation at the Coombs Centre is only available for hire in association with in-house conference bookings.

2. Is the Coombs Centre available for weekend bookings?
Weekend bookings are subject to availability and surcharges apply. Contact the Administrator for more information.

3. What are the check-in and check-out times?
All rooms are ready for check-in by 2.00 pm and check-out is required by 9.30 am.

4. Are the bedrooms air-conditioned?
Each bedroom is individually air-conditioned and operates both heating and cooling.

5. Does the Coombs Centre offer daily room cleaning services?
Bedrooms are cleaned daily between 8.00 am and 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend guests will be provided with a sufficient supply of towels and bathroom amenities.

6. Does the Coombs Centre have a 24-hour reception?
The Coombs Centre is staffed between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday, and does not have a 24-hour reception.

7. How can I access the Centre?
The Coombs Centre is a secure building and is only accessible via an access code. Guests will be issued with an access code prior to their booking date.

8. Is there any accessible accommodation in the Centre?
An accessible bedroom is located on Level 3. To ensure appropriate allocation, please advise of your requirements when booking.
Catering

1. Is the Coombs Centre licensed to sell alcohol?
The H.C. Coombs Centre is now a licensed venue and all alcohol must be supplied by the Centre. The liquor licence has placed time restrictions on the service of alcohol, and the Centre is now only permitted to serve alcohol until 11.00 pm Monday to Saturday and until 9.30 pm on Sundays. No alcohol is permitted to be served or consumed in any outside courtyard or balcony after 9.00 pm on Monday to Sunday. The licence also placed restrictions on the type of alcohol which may be served. The Centre is only permitted to serve beer, wine and soft drinks, and no spirits are permitted. 2. Can I bring or supply my own alcohol?
The Centre no longer conducts alcohol service on a ‘BYO’ basis. No alcohol can be brought to the Centre at any time.

3. Does the Coombs Centre offer 24-hour catering or room service?
The centre provides catering for conferences in-house. This includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Catering for in-house events has to pre-organised. The coombs centre offers breakfast for accommodation guests. There is no room service or mini-bar.

1. Does the Coombs Centre have ironing/laundry facilities?
The Coombs Centre provides shared laundry facilities on Level 1 and ironing facilities on Level 3.

2. Does the Coombs Centre have a business centre?
The Coombs Centre offers shared business facilities in Syndicate Room 3 on Level 2. Wireless internet is available free of charge throughout the Centre. For assistance with photocopying or faxing, please contact Reception during office hours.

3. Does the Coombs Centre have gym facilities/equipment?
The Coombs Centre does not have in-house gym facilities. Lane 9 Gym, associated with North Sydney Olympic Pool, is located a 10 minute walk from the Centre. For further information please contact North Sydney Olympic Pool on (02) 9955 2309.

4. Is the Coombs Centre close to shops and restaurants?
The Coombs Centre is located a 10 minute walk from Kirribilli village shops, restaurants, convenience stores, boutiques, Post Office, newsagency and ATMs.

5. Are there lifts or elevators in the Centre?
The Coombs Centre’s patrons lift is located on the Ground Floor Foyer after entering the building. The lift connects all five levels, providing access for all patrons as well as enhancing paths of travel for patrons using a wheelchair or those with limited mobility.

6. Do any of the conference rooms have hearing loops?
All meeting rooms are equipped with Infra-Red hearing augmentation..

7. Are there any accessible toilets?
Accessible toilet facilities are located on each level.

8. Are assistance animals allowed?
Guide dogs or any animals trained to assist people with disabilities are welcome inside the Coombs Centre. To ensure appropriate seating is allocated, please advise of your requirements when booking.

9. Is the National Relay Service available?
Those patrons who are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment can call through the National Relay Service at no cost:
- Teletypewriter(TTY) users, phone 133 677 then ask for 02 9409 1500;
- Speak & Listen users (speech-to-speech relay), phone 1300 555 727 then ask for 02 9409 1500;
- Internet relay users, connect to the National Relay Service for details – and then ask for 02 9409 1500.

1. Who do I contact for after hours assistance?
After hours contact details will be provided to all guests prior to their booking date. After hours contact details are also located in all bedrooms.

3. Who should I contact in case of an emergency?
Emergency services can be contacted by dialling ‘31’ or ‘0-000’ from any phone in the Centre. The Centre Administrator can be contacted on extension 2500 during office hours or on the after-hours assistance number provided.
The Australian Federal Police stationed at Admiralty House opposite the Coombs Centre are also available for assistance.
